Last week I let go of some residue around “safety and conservatism” at the next level.
When a dear friend and mentor of mine Kerrie Biddell passed away suddenly, I had such a strong sense of the impermanence of life. You can literally be singing with someone on Monday and devastatingly staring at their lifeless body in the ICU on Thursday.
I felt so strongly that life is truly short (it was as if she was reminding me) and to take every opportunity that presented.
Do the things you want to do.
Don’t wait.
Don’t hold back.
You are not promised tomorrow…
If something can expand you – do it.
If something opens up possibilities – do it.
Say YES!
What if it is a big stretch? A big risk?
Does your heart say yes?
Are you guided towards it despite the stretch and risk?
Is it aligned with your highest values?
Then say YES.

I went to Uganda and coached a LOT of African singers for a month.
Best time ever.
I did it on that same premise.
So, regarding a recent decision, I was offered the opportunity to go to Philadelphia, U.S.A., for an exclusive and Advanced Coaching event.
All the amazing coaching, the accommodation and meals are free for me as I have been an assistant coach for my coach for the last 12 months.
It’s a truly amazing opportunity.
I’ll benefit big time – no doubt.
It’s also a VERY longggggg way with almost 30 hours one way, very expensive flights which I DO need to pay for…do I even have time? What about jet lag? It’s such a whirlwind trip…
I really thought about the decision deeply and filtered it through these questions.

Consider these when you need to make a big decision.
1. Is it aligned with my highest values?
2. What does my heart say?
3. Will it expand my possibilities?
4. Does it stretch me or shrink me?
5. Do I want to?
6. Will I grow and advance as a result?
I also believe that where God guides, he provides.
So, the good outweighs the bad.
After some serious contemplation, I accepted the invite and I’m going. I booked it all in and registered.

I let go of a whole new level around the concept of safety and conservatism and embraced adventure and possibilities at another level. ??❤️❤️????
I’ll do my BEST to not complain about the long plane trip!
So I’ll be doing some You Have A Voice Academy Coaching calls from Philly! It’ll be 6am over there. I’ll also do my best to not complain about that time slot hahaha.
The other good news is, anyone who reads these blogs or gains anything at all from me, will also BENEFIT tremendously from all the things I’ll be receiving and learning.
That was another thing that helped my decision.
7. Will others benefit from this decision?
It is a “whatever it takes” kind of decision.
Do whatever it takes to advance, heal, grow, and expand.
So here’s saying YES to more adventures!!!
And if you are facing a big decision, filter it through those questions above to help bring the answers and clarity you need.
