Lionel Cole to close three days of fun in the sun

Perfect summer conditions led to bumper crowds at the Manly Jazz Festival for the first two days of the Long Weekend, and the same is expected for Monday.

The only thing to cut through the rays of sunshine were the soundwaves of brass and stringed instruments floating across a sea of faces.

Monday is traditionally the biggest day of the festival with appearances by Monica Trapaga, Terell Stafford from New York, and Lionel Cole — all on the main Oceanfront stage.

Cole will close the festival later this afternoon. He comes on stage at 4.30pm.
